2010-2012 OEA-OKC Board Set
April 22 was the last day for nominations for OEA-OKC Board. Nominated were current President, Cathy Hume, current Secretary Tara Bassett, Rebecca Edmondson was the lone nomination for Vice President, as was Jennifer Nicholson for Treasurer. All four nominations were unopposed; therefore, according to OEA-OKC Bylaws/Constitution are automatically elected to office for a 2-year term that begins June 1, 2010.

Remember, your OEA card is a two year card.
Building Reps Needed
One of the goals OEA-OKC would like to fulfill this school year is for every school that has even one OEA/NEA member to have a Building Represent. Each building having a rep will insure that information is distributed to all our members and that your concerns are reaching those who can help. If you would like to represent your buildings members, please contact Cathy Hume at clhume@cox.net. Growth of our affiliate takes teamwork, be apart of our OEA-OKC team.
Teacher Recognitions
Is there an OEA-OKC member at your school that deserves recognition. Perhaps they have passed their National Boards, received an award or grant, or maybe been named Teacher of the Year for their school. Email the information to clhume@cox.net and let us recognize them on the web site.
